We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

Merry Christmas 2014

As per tradition, the 23rd of December is our Christmas Adam Beach Bonfire, and on the 24th we head to the Russels for Christmas Eve Dinner, the Nativity reenactment, and White Elephant exchange. It's hysterical to watch each person choose and exchange bags with each other, and see the little kids so so excited to open a gift bag jam packed with candy. Everyone clears out their stash it seems. Haha. Lukas was excited, as always, to open gifts for him, and spent the entire afternoon building things with Jared in the living room. Opi's binoculars, Legos and a new bike were the big surprises this year, and Lukas was super ecstatic to adjust the seat, etc in order to ride all through the neighborhood...after inhaling a stack of crepes! Thanks to grandma's recipe (and some tweaks from our time in Vienna), the tradition of Orange Pancakes lives on.
Tis the season to be jolly. :)
