We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

At Jared's high school team boot camp game.

Covered in army blankets, we watched the Guajome team get their humble pie as they scrimmaged a team from a higher division. On the bright side, they know where their holes and deficits are right? And now they all have to go home & do homework. 18 games this season. 18 times washing & hanging up their jerseys on our shower curtain rod after games. And driving to different places, and 18 practice sessions with Lukas in his little cleats when it is over. Unless it is down to a "freezing" 53 degrees like last night. Then we sit in the car to thaw out while Coach waits for the kids to get picked up here. (CA has no money for busses.) 18 games of packing dinner to eat in the stands. 18 games of searching for unlocked bathrooms for the 4yr old who sometimes waits too long. Luckily there are places under bleachers or edges of fields that suffice. And when I get asked, "Are you the coach's wife?", I smile because it sounds (and sometimes feels) like a tv show to me.
