We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

Teaching Socialization

The boys played all morning. While at it, we celebrated the fact that Jacob doesn't need surgery on his elbow after breaking it 2 weeks ago! Whew!  I just love this glimpse at the two of them. This is childhood friendship: standing on stools watching popcorn fly from a hot air popper. And it is sweet to see Lukas' personality come out when he is around his friends. He is a touchy kind of kid...arms around shoulders, likes to snuggle close when we read books...my sweet boy.

I love the expressions on their faces. First, watching so intently as the kernals pop, and then big smiles as the bowl begins to fill with that fluffy white goodness! Simple pleasures from home! Whoever got to do this in school!
