We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

Being a Kid

Whether it's playing Cirque de la Mer acrobat, Merman, or showing fascination by a carwash, being a kid is pretty awesome. Sure, there are messes, but they can be cleaned up. (Just look at the inside of the car, before and after!) There are soccer training sessions with Papi, and the occasional tantrum, but being a kid is only for a short time. And the happy moments make up for the bad, like when the silverware gets put away happily. Or when a kid thoroughly enjoys the nirvana of an entire room full of video games at his buddy's birthday party, watches the local h.s. football game, or gets a haircut. To see and appreciate the good, the crazy, and the sad is my job as mom. And even after all the jobs I've had in the world (check em on the blog-- there is a huge list!), this is definitely the more rewarding job I've ever had!
