We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

Playing with Jacob

Jacob's mom is taking a bookkeeping class. I get to watch Jacob, and in return my kid gets entertained by someone else's kid and I (ironically) get a break, aside from the occasional squabble or Lincoln Log dilemma (those are surely not realistic for little kids. At least not these little kids. It's hard when something has to be put together a 'certain' way in order to be successful...thus my issue with them and other sets of toys that have only one function. Anyhow, having Jacob at our house so often during the fall semester is awesome!!! He is good at drawing, and enjoys it- which means Lukas will attempt it, which stretches him in an area he otherwise shies away from.  And, they just have fun together! Good friends are icing on the cake of life.
