We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

A Country Fair! A Family Affair!

The Relief Society Quarterly Activity was a County Fair: A Family Affair, to help the Relief Society Sisters once again focus on Family History. There were booths about scrapbooks, journals, family reunions, memory books, preserving photos, creating family histories and interviews, homemade soap, a temple craft, and even a station with lap tops to look up some names. I did the journaling station, and had photo books and journals set up. I'm laughing at all the silly pictures we took in the photo booth. The one with this terrible wrestling mask was funny. Pretty representative of the day. And Lukas was the only kid to sit through the whole thing, not in the nursery, since both his parents were helping set up, present, and (Jared) taste test the pie. Once Lukas knew what Jared was doing, there was no sending him anywhere else. Haha. Thanks Kristyn for the cool pictures. P.S. Family (read Oma Karin and my Mom): Please contribute family history names, send us photocopies of family trees, and please start to scan in any and all pictures you have so we can help do some temple work too. We're close to a temple, and get to go often with the youth. We need names!!!
