We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

First day of preschool.

Got dressed, brushed teeth, took picture outside, wrote his name for the first time by himself, ate breakfast (motivation for doing writing first!) Watch a half hour program. It's Monday so we watched Signing time and  a short episode of Popeye. Then he played make believe: I'm Aladdin and he's the bad guy. Later I'm mommy tiger and he's baby tiger... riding on my back... asleep.  He wanted to draw. Do you hear that? He wanted to draw. Simple mind you, a circle with a line. "A balloon!" he declared matter-of-factly before drawing a simple version of Popeye, pipe and all. Then we wrote dad a text with some pictures attached, per request of the artist. Then he noticed the strategically placed German kids singing German songs at the piano, playing some more, spinning tops, ...Jacob .comes over. Make believe play for hours with occasional cookie break or water...the outside make believe til dinner time. Passed out in chair.
