We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

S.O.S. = Supporting "our" School(s)

 Guajome Park Academy's volleyball team had a home game, and some of Jared's German Students were playing, so we went on a little adventure to check them our, cheer, and -- lose some hearing. Wow, those students sure could scream. Whoa. Lukas found a little buddy to play with when the boy offered Lukas a red car to roll up and down the bleachers. They were adorable, and had so much fun repeating the chants from the students. Then a few nights later we went down the street to the high school football stadium to watch the Rancho Buena Vista Band Competition. One of my laurels in the youth group, Taylor, is the drumline captain of her high school's drumline. She plays middle snare and is amazingly good. Their winter drumline wins National Awards, they are that good. This picture is not them. I was so mesmerized by the bigger bands' shows that I no longer took pictures! haha. Things sure have changed though since I was in band. There's more technology and even small recordings played. The bands didn't play cadences on/off the field. But the shows were awesome. All of the instructors for RBV's band have been in drum & bugle corps. Amazing. The discipline. The skill. Everything's up a jillion notches from where we were.

Lukas sat on our laps MESmerized by all of it, although it was past his bedtime. A few days later in the field out of nowhere, in a deep rough voice he announced from his carseat, "You may TAKE the field!"  Hahahaha. Love that kid.
