We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

Somewhere Over the Rainbow...something's being shot by the displaced Swiss

I just wanted to capture a little happy moment of seeing this amazing rainbow when we opened the shades in Lukas' room this morning. The colors were vibrant, but warm... and glowing. A silent moment of awe. Then we kept reading Swiss Family Robinson. :) (I never read that story as a child, and was amazed/appalled at how they kill most everything that moves when they meet it for the first time. Very colonial-like. To their credit they used the animal parts in such creative ways. Sea turtle backs, after all, make amazing bowls apparently! Between this book and Jungle book, the role of a Boa Constrictor is now quite clear in Lukas' mind. Squeeze and kill. Got it.
