We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

How to Fix a Flat

When the six-dollar bike lost some air, we found a pebble and a hole, and luckily- also a new inner-tube in the storage closet. Whew! It was cute to see Lukas try to "fix" it as Jared showed him how to get the tire off the bike, then off the rim (he he, that one took awhile. Meanwhile, Lukas manned the tool box and worked on his bike. It was like a scene from A Christmas Story, as metal pieces-- important metal pieces -- would skirt this way or that), and how to find the hole by dipping the tube in water. Lukas was fascinated, and then- to be honest- just sooooo ready to get back on the bike. It was a great little male-bonding moment :)
