We women have a lot to learn about simplifying our lives. We have to decide what is important and then move along at a pace that is comfortable for us. We have to develop the maturity to stop trying to prove something. We have to learn to be content with what we are." ~Marjorie Pay Hinckley~

We will fight (duhn duhn) for our right (duhn duhn) to...

Super funny: today I was doing FHE with Lukas alone and was trying to make a little poster with some family rules, kinda like Moroni's Title of Liberty, and wanting Lukas to finish the words

I said, remember how Moroni held the Flag of Freedom and said he'd fight for his FAM---
Lukas: ---ILY,

Me: his RELI---
Lukas: ---GION

Me: and his FREI--- (He's supposed to finish Frei-heit here which means freedom, but instead he said:
Lukas: ---TAGS! (which completes FREITAGS, which means FRIDAYS!!)

Hahaha. We fight for our Fridays around here I guess!

FHE at the Loehrmanns

1. Cook yummy dinner.
2. Begin dinner with "FHE" cheer and prayer.
3. Sing a "theme" song
4. Lukas chooses a "primary song card" (and WiseMan song of course)
5. Lesson (use the picture they colored from nursery the day before and run with that)
6. Activity.
7. Treats.

Now take a guess: Was tonight's lesson on love or cleanliness?

We are glad you are here!

Happy Birthday Mabel.
This is Lukas' newest cousin, born on Aug 25th.
What a doll!

Beach Bums

Lukas + stick(mud) = completely happy.

The lone and dreary world...a WIDE stretch of dry sand drifts to get to the ocean.

Thank you Jenny and Avery for my amazing toenail paint job!

...And then the wave actually rolled in, knocking over the small boy in the red jacket- whose crying signaled a high-tailed run for the towels and lunch. We were done with the water for the afternoon.
Very windy and the little man a bit chilly we cuddled up for lunch in the side of a hill to block most of the blowing sand.

Wind-whipped, but warm we finished our SAND-wiches and headed back to camp for naptime. Lukas fell right asleep in the tent for about 3 hours while we hung out on a blanket, read a little, got some zzz's, made a fire- the usual camp afternoon for Team Loehrmann.

Home Sweet Home- for a few days anyways

Livin' on the Wild Side -Bandon, OR

Camp is set up and the boys are relaxing before our big adventure!

This is just the beginning...

We are standing right next to the ram, who is friends with the tiger. I'm glad they're friends.
